Pleasant Hill has always been home to me. I grew up here, was shaped by this community, and learned early on the value of hard work, service, and looking out for your neighbors. It is the place where my roots were planted and where my family continues to grow.

My family’s connection to Pleasant Hill runs deep. My mother taught second grade at Pleasant Hill Elementary School, and she was a teacher to many in our town, and to the children of families who still call Pleasant Hill home today. Her dedication to education and her care for her students left a lasting impression on me and helped shape my respect for teachers, city employees, and all those who serve our community.
My wife is a schoolteacher in the Raymore-Peculiar School District, where she teaches Algebra. Together, we are raising our two sons, Max and Isaac, who are 14 and 12. Watching them grow up here, enjoying it's slower pace and safe streets reminds me why I returned to raise them here.
Faith is an important part of my life. Our family attends Abundant Life, where we find community, grounding, and a shared commitment to serving others.
As a young person, Pleasant Hill offered me opportunities to grow and serve. I was part of Boy Scouts Troop 300, where I learned responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. I also played football for the Pleasant Hill Roosters, an experience that taught me discipline, perseverance, and pride in representing my hometown.
During my teenage years, I worked at Big Creek Garden Center for Martha and Dennis Taylor. That job was formative. It taught me the value of showing up, working hard, serving others, and earning trust. It also gave me the chance to meet so many people across our community and helped deepen my appreciation for how connected Pleasant Hill truly is.
One of the things I love most about this town is how it shows up for its young people. When our sports teams compete, Pleasant Hill comes alive. You feel the energy. You see families and neighbors in the stands. You watch kids grow, strive, and achieve while the community rallies behind them. That shared pride is special, and it is something worth protecting.
Professionally, I am the President of Allied Materials and Equipment, a Kansas City–based manufacturing company employing more than 150 people. We are one of the region’s largest textile manufacturers, producing over 1,000 American flags each day. My career has been built on growing businesses, creating jobs, managing contracts, and practicing strong financial stewardship. Those experiences have taught me accountability, discipline, and the importance of making thoughtful decisions that affect real people and real families.
I am running for City Council because I believe in giving back to the community that gave so much to me. I believe in supporting our city employees who have done an outstanding job with the resources they have been given. I believe in preserving the small-town character we love while preparing Pleasant Hill for the future. And I believe that strong communities are built when people step forward to serve.
Pleasant Hill helped shape the man I am today. Serving this community is both an honor and a responsibility I take seriously.
Thank you for your supporting Pleasant Hill
